Dear Hunt Meadow,
My name is Katie Rudder. When is was in the fifth grade at St. Mary’s School. For a science project I chose to monitor three different stop signs in our neighborhood. The title of my project is STOP DOESN’T MEAN GO.
In my hypothesis, I guessed that 25% of you would completely stop at the signs, 25% of people would not stop at all, and the remaining 50% of people would "roll" through. Boy, was I shocked! 17% of you didn’t even slow down at our stop signs. Only 21% of drivers came to a full and complete stop. And 62% of people rolled right through our stop signs! It’s all pretty dangerous. Hey parents, you should start setting better examples for us… because someday we’ll be driving your cars! Please drive safely especially now that the weather is nice and more kids will be out playing.
Sincerely,
Katie Rudder
